ALEXA ROCKWELL Co-Teacher, Senior Elementary

Alexa Rockwell spent her formative years in Pagosa Springs, CO,  in the San Juan Mountains; hiking, biking, skiing, and horseback riding the sacred rocky trails. When she moved to Santa Fe, she developed a profound love for the arts. The deep cultural roots and artistic diversity of New Mexico introduced her to the world of dance and theater, a primary focus for many years, that would eventually lead her to complete her Bachelor of Arts from Northern Arizona University.  

 Through teaching children to dance and ski, Lexi found a love for spending time with children. Since joining La Mariposa in 2020, Lexi was inspired by the Montessori philosophy and recently earned the Senior Elementary teaching certificate through the North American Montessori Training Center.  

 Lexi is returning for her 6th year at La Mariposa Montessori as the Co-lead of the Senior Elementary community.
